But BPHS also directs us to check the 10th from the Moon (emotional alignment with career) and the 10th from the Sun (authority and recognition). Three different 10th houses, three layers of career indication.
A software engineer with the 10th lord in a Mercury sign, aspected by Saturn, will have a different career experience than someone with the same 10th lord aspected by Jupiter — even if both are in technology.
The Dashamsha (D10) — The Career Microscope
The D10 divisional chart is specifically designed for career analysis. Phaladeepika and BPHS both emphasize that the birth chart shows the direction; the D10 shows the specifics.
The D10 Ascendant lord’s placement, the D10 10th lord, and planets in the D10 kendras reveal whether someone will be in business, service, creative fields, or technical domains. Without D10 analysis, career predictions are operating at 40% resolution.
Atmakaraka and Amatya Karaka — Jaimini’s Framework
